The Knaresborough sculptor Barbara Asquith finished moulding the full life size clay mould and wax casting process has been completed. The moulds have been taken to the foundry in Wales where a full ceramic mould will be made for the bronze casting process.
Cllr Bill Hoult, Hon Secretary of the Working Group comments “The whole of the committee have been overwhelmed by the support and encouragement from Townsfolk, Knaresborough and Harrogate Borough Councils and all the major funders.
When we receive final confirmation of the completion of the bronze casting and Harrogate Council’s work on the paving in the Market Place an unveiling date will be announced.
